"Trust Through Despair"
By Zach Wood
Psalm 25:1-2a
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God.

God tells us to trust completely in Him in all things.  He does not try to bribe us or trick us into trusting Him, He simply says "Trust Me".  However, there are times when it is downright hard to trust.

Have you lost your job recently?  Trust In Me.

Has your spouse told you he/she is tired of the marriage?  Trust In Me.

Did you find out recently that you have cancer?  Trust In Me.

Does a good friend or family member have few days to live because of disease?  Trust In Me.

Are you praying for some kind of change from the job you do not enjoy anymore?  Trust In Me.

Are you at odds with your teen and arguing every day?  Trust In Me.

Do you feel like your prayers are daily going unanswered?  Trust In Me.

There are so many times in life when it is just tough to trust in God.  You pray every day, but no prayers seem to find answers.  There are times when God seems like He is not listening or just wanting to communicate with you.  Sometimes, we just feel that way toward Him.  However, He is still on the Throne and He is listening.  We just have to trust and......wait.

David shares his heart through this passage.  He encourages us through this passage to trust in God and lift up our hearts and souls to Him in praise for who He is.  In the times of despair in life, we need to trust Him.  When life just does not make sense in any way, we need to trust that He knows what He is doing.  We cannot understand because we cannot see the future.  Only He knows and that is just that.

If you are feeling despair, just remember these words from David as he gives his praise to Almighty God.  Life your heart to God and surrender everything.  Trust in Him and His timing.  He is there and wants to strengthen our faith during the times of despair and waiting.  We must trust Him.
