"Good News"
By Zach Wood
Romans 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

This past Sunday, we had a guest speaker at our church.  His sermon was titled "No Longer Condemned".  The passion he spoke with referred over and over again to this passage of Scripture.  I found the message deeply touching and inspiring.  The Apostle Paul makes a very clear and amazing statement here.  He says that for those who are in Christ Jesus, there is absolutely no condemnation now to live under.  None.  Nothing.  Zilch.  Nada.  Zero.  No condemnation for those who have accepted Jesus Christ and live for the Kingdom of God!  As the speaker kept repeating this passage, it really sunk in my heart to remind me that no matter how many times Satan tries to tell me I am no good, Jesus reminds me that I am a child of God!  Amen!

Another point the speaker made was he finished off his message by saying, "And that's Good News!"  Wow!  The news that we are no longer standing under condemnation is really good news!  How about you?  Do you still feel you are living in condemnation from your past?  Do you feel the constant tugs from past sins?  Jesus gave us new life when we gave our life to Him, and He has freed us from having to live with the guilt of condemnation.  What a blessing!

What more good news could you ask for?  Yea, this week's devotional is short, but it's short and to the point.  There is no condemnation that any of us have to live with now that we are in Christ Jesus!  Amen!
