"He Reigns!"
By: Zach Wood
Psalm 97:1, 6
(1) The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.
(6) The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.

I was just reading through this chapter of Psalm the other night and these two passages jumped out at me.  When I read the words about the Lord reigning, it made me think back over the past several months in watching how the Lord has provided for my family in times of need.  Not only in times of need, but just surprising us with things we never would expect.  The Lord is good!  I wonder how many times we actually see His glory?  Do we intentionally take the time to look for His glory, or do we get so wrapped up in the affairs of our day and forget to stop and take in all that He is doing for us?  He is at work all around, every day!

I find myself becoming so absorbed in my own life many times that I forget what He is doing in my life and through me.  As I have shared so many times with you all, my wife is a wonderful example of reminding me how God works.  I am just so glad we complement each other so well.  She is a true inspiration to me and lifts me up when I truly need encouragement.  God has totally blessed me with her in my life and I am thankful.  She reminds me that God is in control and that I continually need to praise Him for what He is doing.  No matter what others say, God truly reigns!  Let the people see His glory!

Are you doing through some tough times right now?  Take heart, the Lord reigns and He is your provider in times of trouble.  Are the finances putting stress on your marriage?  Take heart, the Lord reigns and He will provide what you need when you need it.  Are you feeling alone right now and feel there is no one to turn to?  The Lord will provide.  When we are in need, He always provides and He always reigns.  He is so far above us and we simply cannot understand or even fathom His greatness!

I encourage you this week and for the many weeks, days and months to come, to remember that our Lord reigns.  If we take the time to reflect on what He is doing, we will see His glory all around us.  Let Him reign in your heart and in your life.  Then, others will see His glory through you.
